Re: Web Datablade - Couldn't connect to database!

Hi Tony, Nope, doesn't work for the "informix" user. "sia" is indeed a valid user of my Solaris box, and I have granted connect permission to my database. Here's a copy of my web.cnf: // start web.cnf ## web.cnf.example ################## ## Copy this example file to your web.cnf file, substituting actual values ## for those in angle brackets ( <> ) below. Do not use variables. # Connection variables MI_DATABASE sia_web MI_USER sia MI_PASSWORD sia REMOTE_USER? default # Remove the number sign ( # ) from one of the following values for WEB_HOME. # If you are using the CGI Webdriver, include the following: WEB_HOME /cgi-bin/webdriver # If you are using the NSAPI Webdriver, include the following: # NOTE: The line must end with slash ( / ) # WEB_HOME <URL-mapped path to NSAPI Webdriver directory> # Variables are not expanded, so you must NOT specify $INFORMIXDIR; # instead you must specify the full OS path. INFORMIXDIR /opt/informix INFORMIXSERVER siadb # AppPage table variables MInam? ID MIcol? object MItab? webPages #Debugging variables MI_WEBSHOWEXCEPTIONS on MI_WEBRAWPASSWORD secret MI_WEBDRVLOG /tmp/.log MI_WEBDRVLEVEL 0x0002 // end web.cnf One question though, the MI_WEBRAWPASSWORD. Is there anything to set anywhere? Thanks, tata. > Does the above test work when you set MI_USER to informix and MI_PASSWORD to > the password of INFORMIX? > Where is your web.cnf file and what does it look like? > Is "sia" a valid login on the Solaris box? > > Tony > -- > Antonio J.
