Hagen Dont know if you are doing this alrady, but the 1536 in your jdbc url should correspond to the sqlexecinf line in your /etc/services. Frex: sqlexecinf 1536/tcp Since you are connecting from a NT box (as opposed to a direct connection on Linux), I would think it needs to be there on both sides.
