Locking Mode

Hi Informix experts, Is there any way to find out the current locking mode of a table.. I mean is it row level/page level locking ? I could change the locking mode by ALTER TABLE XXX LOCK MODE (ROW/PAGE)... And also could you guys tell me, what is the default locking mode in Informix ?
