informix backups

Hi, We have 11.50.FC4 running on Solaris 10. Everytime after running level0 backup, informix used to ask for level1 backup, it would not let me perform a level2, but now it is letting me do the level2 immediatly after the level0. The only change we have done is that we have disabled the logging. I would appreciate any help. regards.

Hi, are you using ON-Bar or ontape to do your backups? ON-Bar, I think, will automatically do a level-1 backup if it finds that none exists (done after the last level-0). You can check in the ON-Bar activity log file, where the actual level should be noted. ontape ... I don't know if it can do this also.
