Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

We are currently using cooked files in AIX 3.2.5.
This is not only easier to handle, but is also faster.
We did a self made test on this, but not very extensively on very large
db's. Sizes from 200 - 600 Mb data and 300 - 800 Mb blob.
We haven't had any Problems with cooked files on our now 20 Installations
yet.
We did have a Problems with raw devices under 6.00 USAP1 where we defined
a chunk with 16 Gb Offset on a 2 Gb raw logical volume.
The chunk was added in a wrap around manner destroying some data.
(this seems to be USAP specific though)
so long
