Initial ON-Bar / Storage manager configuration

All, There are two methods one can use to tell ON-Bar which storage manager you are using. 1. Insert a record into the bar_version table using the following SQL: insert into bar_version values ('1','2.1.5','adsm','2'); {values willdiffer depending on storage manager, etc.} This method is to allow the administrator to add/change/remove the storage manager configuration to/from a running system. 2. Create $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sm_versions with the following line in it: 1|2.1.5|adsm|2 i.e. a pipe delimited record This method can only be used when one is initialising the databse (i.e. oninit -i). I've never got the second method to work. Has anyone else? If so, what am I missing? Dan
