creating databases with GLS ??

First off the system Online 7.24.UC6 HP/UX 10.10 When I create a database either with dbaccess or dbimport, it looks like the system is ignoring the environment variables. I have the following set: DB_LOCALE=en_us.8859-1 CLIENT_LOCALE=en_us.8859-1 But the database is created with en_us.819. (systables where tabid = 90 and 91) This leads to two questions 1) Why is it ignoring the environmental variables? 2) How do I change it from en_us.819 to en_us.8859-1? Thanks Jerry PS: I called Informix about this and it was like talking to a rock. So much for direct to the engineer!
