Re: Occasional onbar log backup hangs

Hello JPM,
I had onbar logs (and backups) hang almost every week. Our problem
was usually that our network had brief (1 second or more) outages
during the day. Since I could not get our network guys to fix it (and
other issues with onbar), I got off of it. I switched to a cold
backup method. But, in your case, try using a shorter, simpler, more
dedicated network. Then test each component by following the bytes
from source to target, checking everything along the way. This
includes checking speed, re-transmits and "full duplex" (which in the
old days worked better than "auto").
