What do you mean "blocks the network card"?
Leave your existing TCP NETTYPE entry in the file, and add one that says:
NETTYPE ipcshm,1,250,CPU
Let me know how that goes.

Go into the Network Card admin screen, and check whether there are
specific limitations on the number of connections - Sco would stop at 50
I seem to recall.
