Muthana Increase BUFFERS in onconfig file. UPDATE STATISTICS for each table (as a minimum)rerun the query and see what improvements you get. If you still have problems post the results of:- onstat -p onstat -m onstat -Rand sqexplain.out of any particularly slow query or update.
