I am not aware of any commercial products to so such a conversion, but some may have come to market since I looked. The two hints I have regarding the conversion are: 1. PL*SQL is the Oracle product corresponding to Informix-4GL. The syntax is VERY similar. If no products are found to do the conversion, I am sure you could create a simple scanner that would do 90% or more of the conversion automatically. 2. Oracle does not have a data type corresponding to SERIAL. Oracle has a feature called a SEQUENCE, which performs the similar function of generating unique, sequential ID numbers. However, sequences are stored separately from the table holding the generated numbers. Sequences are treated as pseudo-tables, and contain the pseudo-columns NEXTVAL and CURRVAL.
