Count them before you open the cursor, scan the cursor row by row. To simplify the scan, bear in mind that after you open the cursor, sqlca.sqlerrd[1] returns the probable number of rows retrieved, as guessed by the engine (same as what you would get with a set explain on) HTH, Marco ____________________________________________________________________________ rem radioterapia, which I immeritately manage, seldom agrees with what I say marco greco (Catania, Italy) Work: marcog@ctonline.it rem radioterapia 39 95 447828 fax 446558 (was mar.greco@agora.stm.it) Achea 39 95 503117 --- On Thu, 28 Nov 1996 19:50:00 +0300 (GMT) Ramiro Rela <rrela@dc.uba.ar> wrote: How can I get the number of rows in a cursor?
