WHATcursor type on intersolv odbc to have recornumber property working ?!

hi, i'm developing an asp application that access a 7.0 informix online db via informix-cli & intersolv driver .. i can't have the recordnumber property working for the recordeset i get from the db.. it's always -1 ?!.. reading the interdev documentation it looks like it has to do with the kind of cursor i use .. i have two choices for cursor in the odbc drivers: cursor behaviour: open/close enable scrollable cursors:yes/no none of the 4 possible combinations looks like working .. mahh .. any suggestion will be really appreciated best regards sabba
