ONARCHIVE error -1277

Hello all: Have any of you folks come across an error -01277 during an onarchive operation? Here are the specifics: Database Engine: Informix 7.10 UC2 Platform: Data General Aviion running DG/UX 5.4 Operation: To restore a down dbspace We did a warm restore of the down dbspace and it completed successfully. We backed up the current logical log and it completed successfully. We then proceeded to roll forward the logical logs by doing a logical restore and it failed with the following errors: ARC-E-01277, Cannot get file LF00000016 from catalog. ARC-E-01313, Retrieve request failed We checked all the obvious, like we checked that it was the correct tape and it does contain the logical log number 16 on the tape. The logical log 16 back up information is shown in the onarchive catalog. Informix technical support is totally stumbed upon this error. This just adds to a list of issues and problems we found with the ONARCHIVE tool and what bothers me the most is that Most of the Informix support staff are totally CLUELESS about ONARCHIVE! BTW, we cannot use ONTAPE because we have way too much data to do a full system archive every time. Any idea or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
