Screen Record arrays

I have been programming in Informix for over four years and think that I am reasonably jacked. However, something still puzzles me. Using 4GL, is there any reason at all why in the form there is an array subscript on the screen record e.g. instructions screen record s_record[10] (x) Is this a legacy from ISQL because it seems to serve no purpose in 4GL where the array is set by the programmer. I have nearly thirty industrial applications out there in the field and I have never used the above syntax. Am I missing something good? -- Neil - @storm@aztec.co.za < ANOTHER ESSEX LAD >
