Re: reading .ini values in 4GL

One way to do this is to preprocess the file with sed to add at the end of each string a "|" character, then you just have to load the file into a temporary table and process the data from this temporaru table. Of course you can write a C function to read files and integrate into your runner (I assume you have RDS). As I remember it could be such a function in the IIUG archive. Please, check the 4GL manuals for C integration into 4GL. They have there a good description of this process. Please, post to newsgroup. You could get more answers and more ideas on how to do things like this.
