I'm going to have to leave a specific answer to the SQP gurus in the group. If maxnext does indeed correspond to the systables column nextsize then you are setting the table to grow by 10MB at a time which should not explain a 320MB increase in size after a reorg. I just do not know enough about what sapdba is doing. As to the courses, yes it will be useful to take the Admin class and the Tuning class. In addition you may want to take the Interals class to get a better understanding of what's going on under the hood and if you write applications or serious utilities, or have to advise or code review those who do, the Application Development course. And yes, play with your development server by all means. Art S.
