There is a package in the IIUG Software Repository by Jonathan Leffler that creates an IO library callable from 4GL, alternatively, as I just did for a project this week, write your own custom load function in C it is not hard to write 4GL callable functions. Instructions are in the manual and there are lots of example downloadable from the Repository. Last option, use LOAD to bring the file into a temp table and FETCH rows from the temp table into the array. Art S.
