If you need a viewer, then I recommend `less'. Less has all the scrolling and searching functions of the typical editor, but no update functions. It also accepts LOTS of alternate keys for the same functions, so I assume it is emulating the keys of several editors. I use the vi scrolling and searching keys and they all work as in vi. I have the source code in a 99813 byte less.tar.Z file, if you would like it. Regards, Alan ___________________________ ______________________| R.
