Thats a n incomplete description but i would assume you say
$char variable[10]
$long variable
.......
$ database database_name;
$ declare my_cursor cursor for
select * into
$variable,
$variable,
$variablefrom
table_name
where table.field = whatever
$ open my_cursor
for (;;)
{
$ fetch my_cursor;
if (sqlca.sqlcode != 0 )
break;
...........
}
....
...
$ close my_cursor;
$close database;
