Is there anything that cannot be replicated? Smartblobs? Types of
blobs?
ALter table limitations? I think IDS 10 can replicate alter tables but
notaltering the columns being replicated! Add that?
grant/revokes/roles/procedures/triggers...any limitations there?
What does Oracle/MS SQL Server have that Informix does not?
Finally a GUI to view the replication topology..and handle replication
failures. A gui to monitor replication performance as well...ism_watch
has
backup speed in Mb/s. A gui with server+links+link utilisation in
Mb/s!
An easy way to spot bottlenecks.
A way to spot link failures between sites. Surely IDS servers can send
link failure info around the sites that are still connected to the
server you run the gui against! Also more ways (onstat?? or something
else?)
to look at the internals of replication. How busy the threadas are,
whether they need tuning or not..parameters to tune the number of
replication threads.
