NYC Oracle/Internet Assistant DBA/Trainee Opportunity

We are a young Internet company (in business for two years with about 80 employees). We operate a high quality game site http://www.riddler.com and the Commonwealth Network http://commonwealth.riddler.com, an advertising Network on the Internet. We are a UNIX shop (Sun and SGI) running Parallel Query Oracle v7.3.2.2 and Netscape Web Servers. Our desktops are Windows 95 and XWindows. Data modeling is being done with ErWIN v2.6. Applications development is being done in C++, JAVA, and PL/SQL. We currently have an opening for an Assistant Database Administrator. This is a trainee position. The requirements are good SQL skills and UNIX. Knowledge of Oracle architecture and DBA concepts are a plus. (Other RDBMS backgrounds will be considered.) The right candidate will be very intelligent and highly motivated. We offer competitive salaries.
