OT is paid or compensated with comp-time when required, very little OT is required. Our environment includes HP-UX, Novel 4.1, Windows and NT. New development is done with 4GL and Powerbuilder. The salary range is 46,203.73 - 66,916.86 and NO, we don't start people at the start of the salary scale. We want to be able to give you a raise after 6 months and each April 1. Enough of the boring stuff - Why would you want this job. The Denver area is BEAUTIFUL. Our work schedule allows you to take advantage of the area's amenities. We do NOT average 60 hour weeks. The stress level at the city is significantly less than in most commercial DBA environments. Our DBA is not required to carry a pager 24 hours a day. The department director is a real visionary individual (He successfully climbed Mt. Everest in 1995!!!!) The Systems and Operations Manager, me, is great to work for!
