Naomi, You may have something here. I've been searching for an answer to a tbtape problem on my Pyramid 12/9 ES. Our backup began failing due to the Unix files size limit (punched up to 4.0 gig by Pyramid). How big is your total backup set? Is it over 4 gig? We've figured that the only way to do a level 0 archive is to use multiple tapes (we tell tbmonitor that our 25 gig tape is 3.9 gig). Using the multiple tapes forces tbtape to use multiple writes, each under the 4 gig limit. Have you solved this problem?
