That version of IDS was likely compiled/linked with GCC v3.xx or maybe even 2.xx and built for a 1.xx or 2.1.x Linux Kernel. It is definitely not compatible with either the 2.6+ kernel system calls or the GCC shared libraries. You'll have to upgrade at LEAST to the current 7.31 release, but why not take the opportunity tp move to IDS 10.00 or 11.10? Art S. Does IBM provide upgrade prices to move from IDS 7.30 to 11.10? I think I should look to IBM for answers to these, but just taking a chance if you guys already happen to know this. Regards.

Yes, you pay for an upgrade from v7 to v11. There's a promotion on for the rest of the year, here in EMEA at least. Where are you geographicaly?
