My USD$.02: VSI*FAX is a good solution, even better if set up correctly. You can easily set it to email the faxer upon successfully sending or failing to send (but not both; at least not simply) the fax. It also saves all unsuccessful faxes (which expired from the queue) in case you want to attempt to send them again. I mention this because a certain client was using it and assumed that all the faxes they 'sent' actually got to their destination; luckily they never purged the expired faxes (3 years worth) and we could tell which ones didn't make it. Now we print a report of successful/failed faxes every day, and purge faxes over 36 (why 36? why not.) hours old.
