Case Sensitive Issues Informix

I've been creating ASP pages connecting to a SQL Server as the database. The request was made of me to change to use Informix instead. I though no problem just change the ODBC datasource to connect to Informix, right... wrong. I've ran into two problems. 1st: The results of my SQL ORDER BY clause are not as I expected. For instance I am now getting a result like: AAA BBBB aa instead of aa AAA BBBB 2nd: If I do a SQL call using a LIKE then the criteria must be in the same case as it is in the database. I've looked at their documentation and it looks like it is supposed to do this.
