I must run tbtape from cron for 5.05 on AIX 3.2.5. I made a script which runs the command: echo "\\n0" | tbtape -s and it works fine (eg. it appears to back the system.) The only problem is the date on the archive is wrong. My backup from this morning was dated yesterday (I did a restore yesterday). The backup from yesterday morning was dated the day before that (The exact time of my previous backup). I seems as if tbtape is setting the date of an archive to the date and time of the last time I ran tbtape. I am a relative OnLine beginner, so I could be doing something fundamentally wrong.
