Setting/Getting User permission on database. How?

I've managed to get an ODBC connection from WinNT to a Solaris/Informix box. I can select/read fine but I can't update data in the some of the tables. I would like to find the current rights on the user and see if I just need to turn the rights on (need select, insert, update, and delete). Any pointers? Thanks, Dan BTW, I'm very new to this so don't assume too much. :) -- Dan Miner dminer@nyx.net | | Doing Programmer/ | | Linux Linux Consultant | "What yonder light Windows 95 breaks?" | since http://www.nyx.net/~dminer/ | "Free software: The New Frontier" | v0.12
Well, I sugges that you look in a series of tables. Database privilages are stored in the sysusers table as C, R & D ( Connect, Resource & D(?)) The systabauth table contains any table level privilages in the format su-idxar where s = Select u = update - = if * then column privilages exist i = insert d = delete x = Index a = alter r = reference You can try granting update/delete on the particular tables to <user> ( the connection user using the ODBC connection ) as the administrator. Hope this helps Sean Dan Miner wrote in message <917306130.434101@iris.nyx.net>... >I've managed to get an ODBC connection from WinNT to a >Solaris/Informix box.
