newera 3.1 supertable apply function and performance

Has anyone noticed a bug in the apply function. One it fails it always returns a FALSE. Is there a workaround ? Also does anyone notice the performance of NE very slow, especially while connecting to remote database and getting data out ? I am using the native informix connection. Thanks Mukta
