No. The only overhead in turning the MIRROR flag on is that a mirror chunks structure will be allocated in shared memory, which is of nominal size (152 * CHUNKS bytes). Note that this does not turn mirroring on for any dbspaces - that must be done as a separate step. It simply enables the system to support mirroring.
