I Have not had that problem and have been unable to duplicate it.This may seem like a lame answer, however, the source of most errors can be found in the simplest mistakes. The connection to the database (local or remote) still reads informix.ini. Revisit setnet's configuration and ensure that everything is in order. Aside from that, call up Informix Techinal Support and have them talk you through a setup and connection.
