Re: long transaction job then aborted with the following error number 458

Hi,
check parameters LTXHWM and LTXEHWM of your
onconfig file. Make sure that they are not too low, but
still low enough so that a long transaction can be rolled
back completely (otherwise your system can grind to
a halt ...). Actual values for these parameters depend
on the activity on your system, so I can't give general
advice for optimal values.
If that doesn't help you to get the query in question to
go through, you have to increase your log file space,
i.e. you have to add log files to your system. For that
you use the "onparams" utility with a command like
onparams -a -d <dbspace> -s <size>
Maybe you want to add a new dbspace (or chunks
to an existing dbspace) in order to have the necessary
space for the new log files. In that case use the
"onspaces" utility first with a command like:
onspaces -c -d <dbspace> -p <chunk path> -o <offset> -s <size>
You can run the "onparams" command repeatedly to
create several new log files until you have enough
log files (or run out of space).
Regards,
Martin
