HELP: auto backup system

If anyone can help with this little task i would greatly appreciate it! I need to set up an automatic system to update our report/query database from the production database. I can not use the log file to do this because the production database only has a fraction of the tables of the report database. If anyone is super effecient (or even know anything at all) about audit trail files and how to implement them, please contact me.
