Re: Informix SE 7

The last few things can be done from the command line or a shell script - if you are running unix/linux I'm assuming you can deal with that. You may have to set a few ENVIRONMENTAL variables - check out the .profile or .login from the informix users home dir. isql dbname queryname > redirected output location 2> redirected stderr Do you have to run the report as the informix user? This is not standard. If you need to create a user account (say 'rptuser') on your UNIX box and have the DBA 'grant connect, select to rptuser on dbname'; Sounds like a pretty simple task - but if you have NO Informix dba in house you should go to /www.ibm.com/informix click on link to library in left frame and scroll down to servers - you will have to dig a couple of layers but you are looking for SQL, Admin Guide, etc. for Informix SE 7.x. PDFs for free - download them to your local box for faster access if you have space.
