RE: Level 2 ODBC Drivers for IDS
Posted in 2003
David, There is one more point in that 'ODBC Level 2 conformance' discussion. It is very simple for the "Tools" vendor to say 'we require Level 2 ODBC'. I don't believe that they really use ALL Level-2 functions. It might happen that ODBC functions missing in Informix ODBC (You can get list of them in the Manual) are not actually used by particular tool. You can send the 'tools' vendor a list of missing functions and ask "Do You really need them? Or: What functionality of the "Tool" I'll loose without this function?" ------------------------------------------ Alexey Sonkin Senior Database Administrator > -----Original Message----- > From: David E.
