Can a .frm be reverse engineered to a .per

Due to circumstances that I won't bore you with we are rebuilding one of our development systems and have a full set of frms but no pers for them. It looks like we are going to have to sit down and retype, unless someone knows of some sort of reverse engineering tool that could do the job. Given the situation it would not have to be perfect! Any suggestions?
