I have been scanning this conference for a while now,
and I haven't seen anyone mentioning the combination of
XDP and Informix yet.
Is it because XDP is seldom used or what?
Anyway, I hope someone can help me with a little problem I have.
I am trying to use the TIME statement directly in a SQL INSERT sentence,
but I get the 4GL error -4373 (grammatical error) when I am doing it.
The sentence is:
INSERT INTO ImageData (x,timechanged,y) VALUES (szX, TIME, szY)
The timechanged variable is a "datetime Hour to Second"
To try I workaround I then assigns the TIME variable to a CHAR var.
But then I get an C-ISAM error 1262.
My second workaround was to define the timechanged variable as an
"interval hour to second" and this works when the TIME variable is
passed on as a CHAR variable.
I hope that someone can help me with this, and I also hope that
some nice people can provide me with information, bugs/fixes, workarounds,
and (if it exists) ftpsites concerning XDP (and Informix 5.03).
Yours sincerely
