Thanks to all who responded to my post. I believe that the problem was related to a loose wire in one of the leads from the power supply (the wire actually came out of the connector when we were looking at something inside!). It appears to have been providing a bad ciruit, which is a very bad thing on a SCSI chain. John Prideaux alastl@ix.netcom.com
