Hello, I'm developing an application that will manage medium amounts of data. The analysis is completed, and it's now time to undertake some architectural decisions, such as which database to use. The application will run on Windows 95 and NT. What follows is a list of the main features the database is supposed to have: - cost: free for the end users. We need an "unlimited" licence. - ODBC support - SQL-based - sicurety: hi, transaction support required: the application will manage big money transfers ! - performance: hi retreival and insertion speed: the number of records will not be huge though (biggest tables around 25,000 recors). Any suggestion? What do you folks think of Microsoft Access for instance? Does it come with an "unlimited" licence? Any information, opinion, address towords other information sources is very welcome! Thanks in advance. Andrea Frascari - e-mail: mir5360@iperbole.bologna.it
