Loading tables in Shared Memory

Hi, I need to know how to load some of the frequently used tables (like master reference tables which are accessed very frequently) into SHARED MEMORY. By loading them into shared memory, they permanently reside there until they are unloaded, and the application programs access these tables from the SHARED MEMORY rather than the disk, reducing the i/o time. How does one load the tbale into SHARED MEMORY and how to ACCESS data once the table is loaded in SHARED MEMORY.
