Pranil, Try plain ol' sql: unload to myfile select col1,col2, year(datecol) || month(datecol) || day(datecol ..... from mytable where .... You may have to play with it. You could also unload the data and use good ol' Unix utilities (you may see them disappear when you move to NT) like sed and awk. However, if you prefer a programming solution ......
