ISA has a configuration file 'isacfg' in 'ISA-installdir\\etc'. This file should contain something like: INFORMIXSERVER ids940 INFORMIXDIR C:\\informix\\ids ONCONFIG onconfig.ids END The above information is usually maintained by editing the isacfg file by selecting the [Specify Local Informix Servers] button on the first page in ISA. As you might know, you can configure IDS to use different communication methods (shared memory, tcp/ip and more). A connection's communication method is determined by the value of INFORMIXSERVER. Make sure that INFORMIXSERVER has the same value as when you connect a client. Then it should work.
