We translate an application from Unix to Windows NT, using esql as preprocessor. When executing every update statement result in a syntax error. Any idea? Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Share what you know. Learn what you don't.

You did the migration wrong. Since you provide us with no other information, there's nothing else we can say to help you. These are rhetorical questions to jog your thought processes; do not send me the answers via email: * Are you using Informix databases on both Unix and NT? * Which versions? * Which update statements? * How did you do the translation? * Show a 4 line example: void function(void) { EXEC SQL UPDATE ... } * What does the C code produced by the ESQL/C preprocessor look like? -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
