Installation / Migration on Linux with 9.4 (large chunks)

Hi, I have a question regarding IDS 9.4. Using our current 7.31 we have 2 gig chunks for the db. Now we plan to move to 9.4. How can we migrate the system from 2 gig to 8 gig chunks, convert and use again without problems. Any guidelines available ? Any advice ? Thanks in advance !
