Although it shouldn't be too difficult to write an ODBC driver for C-ISAM I know of noone who have done it. The other alternative is as you suggest to install Informix SE on top of your C-ISAM files and get an ODBC driver for SE. Be aware of problems with different versions of SE and C-ISAM and of course that the data in the C-ISAM files must be of a type that can be read by SE. Also there have been some discussions quite some time ago about locking problems if you try to update from SE and C-ISAM simultaneously. That's no problem if you only want to read data from the PC client. Nils.Myklebust@ccmail.telemax.no NM Data AS, Postbox 9090, Gronland, N-0133 Oslo, Norway My opinions are those of my company
