Re: Web Datablade - Couldn't connect to database!
Posted in 1998
Hi Tony, Do I need Informix Connect 2.01 on the Solaris itself? I have the impression that I-Connect is only a client software, and I won't need it on the server itself. Anyway, I have I-Connect installed/configured on my own PC running NT. I can use SQL Edit to connect to my Informix server okay. "siadb" is a TCP/IP connection. I have "ontlitcp" in my sqlhosts for this database. I have checked out all the stuff under $INFORMIXDIR/extend/web*/doc/*. Nothing in particular regarding my problem... /tmp/.log is empty. Anything else that sounds odd? Thanks, tata. ---------- On Thu, 10 Sep 1998 17:21:51 +0800, you emitted: >>Nope, doesn't work for the "informix" user. Is "saidb" a TCP/IP or SHM connection? Did you check the readme files in $INFORMIXDIR/extend/web*/doc/*? The web.cnf file looks Ok. Are you getting anything in /tmp/.log? Try turing on MI_WEBEXPLOG also.
