Q: SQL top ten list

Slightly off-topic: Has anyone seen a relatively recent listing/ranking of end-user query tools? We want to get something, but would rather pick a short list from an existing list where someone has already gone through the bother of evaluating the hundreds of query tools out there. Hoping that someone remembers reading an article (I'm so far behind in MY reading.....) Thanks, Don Boothby (You can e-mail me if you think this message shouldn't be in c.d.i.)
