As far as I know / can tell, SE doesn't replace or remove rows when >they're deleted. Is there a way to tell the ratio of deleted to valid rows? There isn't a simple, built-in method to do this, but you can find out using the following steps: * Use ls -l isamfil101.dat gives you the data file size in bytes. * Take the rowsize from systables for the table and add 1. * Divide the file size by (rowsize+1) -- there should be no remainder. That tells you how many physical rows exist. * Use SELECT COUNT(*) FROM TableName to determine the number of rows currently in the table. The ratio of deleted to valid rows is: deleted : valid == (phys rows - count) : count You can also play with bcheck (secheck) if you prefer.
