Hi,
I'm assuming the UNIX DB server is OnLine and the answer is OnLine
related. However, the other Informix DB server's should have the same
concept in them.
There is the LOCKS field in the onconfig file that get set during
DB initialization. This field allows the dbadmin to set the maximum
number of locks that the database can allow. Another place for setting
the same field (LOCKS - max number of locks) is in the onmonitor utility,
parameters/Shared-Memory screen. this screen is accessible only to the
dba. Informix OnLine needs to be in an quiescent/off-line mode to make
these changes.
